Re: Problems with new tv

Sounds like you need to manually select the HDMI input on the TV. You might even need to enable it first. Check your TV manual.

If you really are stuck, see the last question in the FAQ.

The SCART auto-detect setting doesn't matter if you are using HDMI.

Re: Problems with new tv

Phew!!!

Thanks Spiderplant

Yes you are right - we did need to select the HDMI on the TV ... once that was done it was fine so it had changed over earlier!!!!

I'll be back later because I want to change the volume control to the V+ control - I've tried all the Samsung settings - tried one I found here earlier somewhere but no luck so far.... so that is the next chore when I feel strong enough !!

Thanks very much for your help

Re: Problems with new tv

I'll save you the bother - the V+ volume control doesn't work in HDMI mode.

Have you tried codes 0079 and 0145 for your Samsung?

Re: Problems with new tv

Yay!!!!! Just came onto tell you !!!!

Just trawled through the posts and saw 0079 - and it changed the volume setting on the V+ remote.

Then I saw your post! So does that mean the control is working through the scart lead ??????

Now you've programmed it, the V+ remote is controlling your TV volume directly. The sound is still coming through the HDMI lead.

Glad you are sorted.

Thanks for your help, I've solved the problem. I had to leave the scart cable in as well as the new HDMI cable to change all the settings and then remove the scart cabel. All working now.
