Re: V+

I wouldn't have thought that changing over to HDMI would have effected a working sound code. You live and learn with the V+.

I've been having a scout around the net and have found the following information on DS.

0078 & 0079 have been found to work for Samsung LE32 and M87 ranges and also the Samsung LE37R8'

Hope one of these works for you.

Re: V+

Sorry to hear that, I will keep my eyes open for any other codes. Maybe another member will have the solution there has got to be a few other members with a Samsung TV.

Maybe you could post the type and number of your TV and that may help.

The V+ volume control only affects the analogue outputs. The HDMI and SPDIF are digital audio outputs, so are unaffected by the volume control.

wwe: Have you tried code 0145?

Re: V+

I have a Samsung LE32, using HDMI, and since I found the right code (0079), the V+ remote was able to control the volume. However, I assumed that when I used the remote to change volume, the remote was 'sending' the command direct to the Samsung, rather than the V+ ? Reason I say this, is the On Screen Display that appears for volume changes is the one created by the Samsung. I therefore assumed that when I 'program' the code into V+ remote, the remote is simply acting like a Universal remote, and controlling (part of) the TV.

I can see how it *could* be possible for the volume setting to be controlled by the V+, and that it would increase the volume of sound that is transmitted via the HDMI cable, but if that was the case, I could not see why I would need to configure it for my specific TV? And according to Spiderplant, it doesn't work that way anyway:

So, if the remote sends the command direct to the TV, and now it's not working since the HDMI cable was connected, it sounds to me like an issue with the TV. Are there any configuration options in the TV, related to HDMI, or volume? Maybe something that was not previously visible, when the TV did not detect an HDMI connection? Finally, does it still work if you switch back to your old cable?

When you programmed the remote with code 0683, this was controlling the V+'s own volume, but this doesn't work in HDMI mode.

Any other code, such as 0079 or 0145, controls the TV volume directly. But if you can't find the right code for your TV, I don't think there is anything else you can do. You'll have to stick to using two remotes.
