How to change batteries in the V+ box remote

This may seem like a daft question, but how do you get into the remote to change the batteries. I have searched the furum but cannot find anything.

This must be a wind up...

But, in case it is genuine, push the little lever, on the back...at the bottom of the remote...

No wind up, I tried that both ways & nothing happened which supprised me. Which way do you push - towards the front or the back & how hard

Push towards the larger end (the top). It can be awkward as you have to be holding the 'other' side firmly at the right place and also apply a force at right angles as well. It doesn't just pop open.

Sorry I can't explain better but it can prove difficult until you 'learn' just how to do it.

Let me know if it works. I know how to do it and sometimes have difficulty managing. Perhaps it's like an anti-child screw cap on a medicine bottle but designed to fool adults.

Took me a few minutes to sort out as well, it's not the easiest of battery covers to remove but with practice you should be ok.

Run it under a hot tap then knock sharply round the edge with a heavy knife handle.

Oh, and when you've got it open, don't put any batteries in it...

Puncture the lid with a steak knife to release the pressure and then it should come off easily.

Ernie at handyhints.co.uk - have a nice day.

I can just see the headlines in the local paper ...

''Knife Skid on Jar Lid puts Paramedics in a Pickle''
A pickle lover was yesterday rushed to hospital with a steak knife through his left hand ... In the wounded hand was firmly grasped an unopened jar of spicy pickled onions ... Bystanders reported that the wounded man was screaming ''My chips, My chips'' as he was forced into the ambulance ... A hospital spokesperson said later ''The chip-pan fire was nothing to do with us though the patient will stay in hospital till alternative accomodation can be found for him''.

This has absolutely nothing to do with battery replacement in a remote control !!!

It's easy once you've done it. Had me fooled too.
