sixfoottwo is an unknown quantity at this point
Remote problems

Some buttons, including the OK and +Volume weren't working last night. This evening, the TV volume has been going up withiut buttons being pressed. Any logical explanation?

Its broken?

Is probably the batteries; the remotes start sending seemingly random signals when the battery power goes below about 30%.
