Recording clashes on 2 channels?

last night recorded a program that was 1 hour long, but it was still recording 8 hours later, so I cancelled and reset the v+ box. Looking at planed programs for tonight I notice that even though only 2 channels are being recorded they are both showing clashes. Any advice please.

I don't know if it's related or not, but I've noticed over the last few days that there have been errors in the guide listings for some channels. Many have shown a single program as running from midnight to midnight.
