Annoying picture 'refreshing' issue

Hi there. Just had V+ installed this week. The V+ HDMI signal ( settings: HDMI 720wide) is routed through a Sony AV amplifier (STR-DG910)with the audio routed to same with an optical cable. DVD player also connected to amp via HDMI and optical cable. The audio and video is then sent to TV - Samsung (LE37R8). The problem has started to become quite annoying and I can't find out what is wrong. When watching TV channels, the picture seems to be 'refreshing' itself, sometimes up to 5 or six times a minute. For a split second the screen goes black then comes back again. At first, I thought that it was resizing the picture to widescreen format but the TV is set to 16:9 size as is the output from V+. I have looked through all the settings and made various changes to the TV picture and the V+ output but it makes no difference. It doesn't happen when watching a DVD so I am assuming its to do with V+. Any thoughts or advice welcome.

Does a direct connection from the V+ to you TV give the same problem?

i have EXACTLY the same problem....did you get a fix?
