V+ UHF output labelled "To TV"

I used to have 2 other tv's attached to the uhf output from my old silver NTL stb. That meant these 2 tv's could either "watch" whatever cable channel was selected or terrestrial channels like bbc 1, 2 etc.

Having gone to a V+ stb, there is still a UHF output but when set to HDMI mode, nothing is output from it. This means I now have 2 dead tv's which Virgin would like to charge me an extra £20/month to get working again.

Anybody know if this is really the case? Why have a UHF output if you can't use it?

Many thanks for any help.

Regards,
Jon...

Re: V+ UHF output labelled "To TV"

The UHF output is only active at the same time as the SCART, not HDMI or component. That's because the video decoder can either be in SD or HD mode, but not both at the same time.

Is an extra box really £20?

Any extra standard V box when you have V+ is £5 per month

Re: V+ UHF output labelled "To TV"

Well whoever said that to you is wrong. It is definately £5 per each standard box when you have V+

Even if you dont have the V+ box it is only £9.50 for an additional box.

From the web page here: http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...ngdigital.html

'Can I get digital TV in more than one room? Yes - £9.50 per month'
