V+ to DVD problem.

I have noticed that when I back up from the V+ to my DVD recorder that if I am only using one tuner, ie just watching live TV then all works fine. If however I am recording another programme, or watching a previously recorded programme, then the sound for that programme appears on the DVD instead of the correct sound for the programme being recorded. Has anyone else had this problem or do I have a faulty box, or have I set the thing up wrongly? Thanks.
