Extra V+ Box charges

Is there anyone on a special retention deal who has managed to get an extra V+ Box (replacing the standard box) for less than the £150 I got quoted. I have been with ntl since the start and have XL TV, V+ Box, standard box, 2mg BB, and anytime phone. Is it worth phoning again for a deal?

They have a half price offer on now which you can get a box for £75, or £45 if you order it online. I ordered mine and it was installed a few days later.

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

£45 new customers only now (see web site text) and £75 for 1st V+, so if buying second box then they may be reluctant, however I am sure I saw a post here of somebody who bought 3 in one go so try again.

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

Order online as an upgrade to your service like I did, you should get £75 that way at least as a current customer, however it was my first V+ box.

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

I want the extra V+Box but very reluctant to pay £150 for a guy just to install it. Maybe I'll get a letter too, offering it for £75. Then, I'll get it.

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

Once the V+ is fitted it takes 24 hours for the service to be set-up. WHY? when we are paying for a service that we cant recieve cos they aint set it up on time?

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

I had a little "info" cardboard missive from VM a couple of days ago (I've been
an NTL TV/BB customer for years) with the £75 offer for a V+ box, but when I
read the smaller print on the card it implied that after the new year a V+ HD box
would be available to XL TV customers for free.
So if you're not that bothered about HD in time for xmas just wait til next year
to get it for free (well alright, not free - you have to be paying for XL TV)

Re: Extra V+ Box charges

I am already on XL TV and have one V+ box. What I want to do is swop my standard box upstairs for another V+ box. I don't expect there will be any offers like that for free and I certainly ain't paying £150 for it.

Why do you need two V+ boxes, surely you dont want to record 4 channels all at the same time
