Question Noisy Box

I have only had my V+ box since late on Tuesday, but I have noticed noise coming from the box due to the metal case vibrating slightly and it only stops when I touch the box. Is this noise common and/or is there something that could be done about it?

Thank you. I have it on a glass shelf, which is part of my TV stand, but I will try that.

Re: Noisy Box

I know we've only had ours 24 hours.

But it's quiet at the moment.

I normally switch off all my electrical appliances at night, doing my bit to save the planet, as instructed in the Virgin help video (although I did do that before anyway). It resets itself OK the next day and there is no problem with that, unless of course you want things recorded during that time. I still need to minimise the vibration noise though.

Re: Noisy Box

Our V+ box was very noisy to start with - vibrating - stopping when touched!!

We discovered the lead to the cable was resting against the metal support - tautish without being taut if that makes any sense. We unplugged the lead and threaded it through the metal stand legs (rather than the installer connecting it the easier way for him!!) and the noise stopped!!!!!!

(We had tried the pads plus different other ways first with no success)
