Mute Button On V+ box

I had a V+ box fitted a couple of weeks ago and must say that I was impressed with the service - called 9.00 fitted and all OK by 10.00 and all chanels etc working by midday. It is such an easy job to fit and set up it is amazing that so many people have these surley total incompetant service guys doing the job
But I digress - My only problem is the Mute on the remote
You press MUTE and the icon comes up and the V+Box MUTE's OK
Five minutes later the icon is still there but the sound is back in full swing and you need to press MUTE again to stop it. This is odd as the V BOX before which is now upstairs is perfectly OK

anyone else had this and resolved it ????????::

On my remote Mute mutes the TV, not the V+ box. Have you set up the remote for your TV?

I had this yesterday - a mute sign was showing, but it wasn't mute.

I pressed the reset button on the V+ box, and when it rebooted, the mute sign had gone.

the Mute and the Vol dosent work on my V+ im watching via HDMI but i dont think that makes a diferance.

To be fair In have not set my remote to the TV Never had a problem before . Just used remote For V Box and turned TV off manually at end of veiwing
