Can anyone help - do any of the Logitech Harmony remotes work with the V+ Box (new black one installed 3 days ago) - or do I need any additional equipment
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Logitech Remote & V+
Have both Harmony 655 and 885. Works fine with both. Of course, you don't have specific buttons on the Harmony for all the V+ buttons, so you can either assign them to one of the hard keys, or use soft keys as shown on the screens. This may mean a little scrolling through some of the screens at times though.
I certainly found the 885 much easier to use and customise than the 655, but both managed to copy every button on the V+ control, with a little playing.

Quite a few have problems with the charging station (mine included). I have to push it down hard, or put a DVD on top of it to hold it in place!! Wish it just took normal batteries. Other than that it's fantastic.
Think I may upgrade to the 898 or 1000. They convert to radio waves then back again. That way I can put the rattly, humming central heater that is my V+ Box in the office next door. Can also put the media PC in there and have a lovely quiet lounge

Re: Logitech Remote & V+
Anyone else here programmed a soft button to FFx32, REWx32 - I have : the ultimate lazyboy remote button to whizz through ads - why press one button four times when one press is all you need

How do you do this?
My Harmony 525 works nicely too with mine BTW. All I did was tweak the button response time, the Logitech software seems to think presetting the command transmit time to about a second for each device is necessary

One further question - I have Cyrus Audio surround sound equipment - does anyone know if the commands are in the Harmony Database?

Select 'customise buttons' from your Virgin Media activity, and from the page that comes up, select 'add sequence' from the bottom left of the screen.
You can then name the activities FFx12, FFx32, REWx12, REWx32 or whatever you want. Select the device (V+), then select the relevant commands. For FFx12 you need to add FastForward 3 times, for FFx32, add it four times. Same again for REWx12 and REWx32 (except, clearly, replacing FastForward with Rewind ).
Then save those settings.
Go into the same 'customise buttons' page, and select additional buttons - you can then determine exactly where you want them to appear on your LED screen - I have them all together on one page (the last page is best - you can then just use the left arrow during operation to reach the page).
These are instructions for the 525, which is what I have too. It's a doddle
I put them all on the last page (ie not on other pages where they are all spread out) - you can then access them quickly from the LED screen by pressing the left arrow to show them all.
