Big rip off

Today i rang vm to get the V+ installed, all went well, bank detail's taken, then she said another £5.50 will be required for the service, no problem take it,she put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and said,im sorry you will have to pay £11.50,i said why,she said your tv service is only (M),so you need to pay the extra,i said listen to me dear,i pay for telephone service,10MB broadband, and virgin mobile 300text 300mins which come's to about nearly £60, what about being a loyal customer for many year's, it did'nt help my case,a big no was all she could say.

I looked on virgin media web page about the V+ it say's only £5 for service, and £150 for the box, the money is'nt the problem, it's the principle of the whole thing,so i said place V+ where the sun dont shine ( at least dick turpin had the cheek to wear a mask) rip off vm,i would go elsewhere but i rather do like what service i do receive........Not a happy person.

I don’t know who you were talking to but as you may well know the VM web site states for people on the M deal to Get our V+ service Lets you: Pause and rewind live TV, Record two programmes while watching a third. Then it talks about cost it says: One-off cost of £150 for installation and an extra £5 a month so some one is smoking something and I don’t think it’s you or silly of me to ask you’re not deaf

I would phone up customer relations and speak to a normal person. If you’re out of your 12 month contract give your notice and see what retention package you get. Don't let the buXXers get you down .

Re: Big rip off

I phoned up the other day to order the v+ service. This lady from scotland put me on hold and i got cut off whilst i was ordering. I phoned back and got this thick women from newcastle who said it would cost me 25 pound for install and 10 pound a month! i tried to tell her that v+ is now free but she wouldnt have any of it so i hung up on her and phoned back. Got a decent man on the phone who ordered the V+ for me and even helped me get another box in the extention for an extra £5 a month. So now its costing us

£37 a month for
XL Television Package
1 V+ Box
1 Normal V Box
L Broadband
L Phone

Thats got to be a cracking deal!

Totaly confused I will be. I thought the V+ was now free if you were on the XL TV but there is a £150 install charge same if you are on the other deals but you pay a monthly fee or has it all changed again.

And there was another deal regarding your old DT box has that one gone out the window now????

Re: Big rip off

I think there is some misunderstanding here.

If you look at the Virgin Media site and then Digital TV you will find with the XL package you can purchase the V+ box for £150 and no monthly charge, it's included this is exactly what we have done. This also includes a multitude of video programmes also no charge.

Hardly a rip off!

Hardly a rip off!

I would ask the Hon member to read and understand the last two posts
