No, it's not possible. It's HD only.

As its a digital signal there's nothing for your TV tuner to receive.

Q: What connections can I use for HD output?

A: Component and HDMI. Note you can't get SD out of the Component output, and some copy-protected HD movies can't be viewed over Component.

Re: SD through component, possible?

Is Component better than scart? Visually, anyways?

I dont have a HD TV, but have a DVI connection, but if its better and easier to use Component over Scart (something Im currently using).

With component, do you need 2 cables ( one for video & one for audio)?

Hoping to hook mine up if I can get it working.

Re: SD through component, possible?

Component Video uses 3 cables for just the video signal:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video

Then you need the cables to carry the audio as well.

Sorry should have made myself clearer. I meant one cable with the three component parts for video and one cable with the 2 audio component parts.

Having sorted out all the other V+ issues thought I ought to finally get round to getting the HD working.

Nope. Component is entirely analogue. Although that said, I dont know of any TV capture card with component inputs.
