Booked to Record but didnt/wont?

Since the last update, I have had this problem a bit.

I will organize something to record, such as the program Life After Death Row on C&I Network now, and it will highlight red, yet wont record.

It has happened a few times now, and it will still say it is to record/is recording but no light appears on the LCD Display, nor will appear in the Recorded Programs section of V+.

Is anyone else having a problem such as this?

Also, another problem I had today, albeit not as often, Katie and Jordan is on a Series Link, and was set to record, when an Exclamation Point came up on the TV Guide. As I checked the programs to record (thinking there was a clash or two) it was found that the Series link had decided it was going to record it Twice! The series link appeared on the Planner, and a non-Series Linked recording to be done also, yet as I canceled the Non-Series Linked one, it said "Do you wish to cancel this recording? It will not remove the Series Link".

To be sure, we removed both instances of the program to record, and manually added it to record, and the same thing happened again!

Edit: I have found in my Phone, a photo, in which it has happened before, pre-update! Fortunately, this time, it recorded the episode without a problem, however, it then skipped Coronation Street or Eastenders (I forget which) because there were too many recordings! (1Min Padding)

Re: Booked to Record but didnt/wont?

Grabbi i've had this happen to me the last software code drop has done strange things to the EPG.

On a few ocassions i've selected a programme to record from the EPG which highlights red but when you go into the planner it isn't listed and I went back into the EPG and noticed the programme was no longer highlighted in red.
The only way I could get it to work was to switch the V+ box off at the mains for a minute and then re-input it again.

If you do get a series link which will record a programme twice the easiest thing to do is go into the planned recordings highlight one of the duplicate listing press the record button on your remote and it will ask you to confirm deleting that programme say 'Yes' and you will be left with one planned recording for that programme which will record fine.

Tried that, and it has worked. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it shouldn't be doing this anyway!

Hmmm... new problem, same really.

Booked in programs (not recordings) are now not showing!

I booked in Barcelona vs. Dundee tonight, and it hasn't shown up!

Might be a call to the faults dept. be on the cards?

Thankfully, a repeat of Barca was on Setanta.

Ive decided that to fix this problem, I do a reboot every night before I go to bed, ready for the next day.

..... is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Booked to Record but didnt/wont?

Have you altered your padding settings since you set some series links? This can cause this type of problem.

Delete all you planned recordings and links, set your padding to 2 and 5 minutes and re-enter the links.
