The recurring nightmare that is Jekyll

Date : Saturday 14 July

Programme : Jekyll

Nightmare : Something very bizarre happened on the evening of 14 July - Jekyll started recording happily.....and was still recording three hours later. During this time I had the bizarre situation of three recording lights on, with no way of tuning into any live channels (all I got was a black screen with a rather nice white border). A quick reboot (during the down time between two films on Sky Premier) stopped the erroneous recording. On checking the recording however, it was actually Sky Sports 1....hmmm. Okay, not to worry, I caught Jekyll on VoD.

Every day since, however, Jekyll 14 July mysteriously reappears in the menu, noted as still recording (no red lights, but noted as recording 'Now', with a length of 0' 00''). Delete said recording....next morning it's back again !

It's the same recording - Sky Sports 1.....

Anyone else had this oddity ?

Can I ask why you're recording Jekyll, when it's on catchup TV every week :/

Re: The recurring nightmare that is Jekyll

Is it just my catch up tv that the last episode of Jekyll is not there or is it missing completely? I have watched it all the way through and now can't get to last episode!!!

Re: The recurring nightmare that is Jekyll

I dunno what the problem is, but Im having nearly the same problem.
after EVERY reformat of the blasted box since we had it installed in May, the stupid box does something to crash, then after a reboot, programmes keep coming back, some from the 1st of last month, 6 pages of the stuff, all of these "ghost recordings" keep coming back, no matter how many times they are deleted, and tbh, im fed up to the back teeth of keep having to re-format every month or so, but will vergin change the box? will they buggery! they pointlessly waste engineers time, the engineer comes out, checks the signal levels and says all is fine, what do I have to do to make them bring a new box that will actually do as its told?

I feel like using it as a projectile at the yobs that frequent the street, that WOULD be a good use of such a pointless box, what is the point of keep having to re-format the blasted thing every month or so?
