Had the V+ box installed just over a month ago and the problems above started that very same day. I phoned tech support who ran me through a few trouble shooting bits and the problem kept re-appearing, thus an engineer was booked to call the next day. The day after everything was fine so called back Virgin and told them to cancel the engineers visit as I didnt want to waste their time. Well nearly every day since I have had to reboot the box at least once, on one occasion it was 8 times that day!
I have recently noticed that the light seems to start flashing when there is the slightest knock or bump near to the box. For example when gently placing my xbox 360 controller down on top of the xbox, which is located next the V+ box, yes that is how sensitive it is!
Ive not had the opportunity to conact Virgin since that first day due to how busy I am at work but will hopefully be trying to conact them tomorrow.
Ive pretty much gauged that the box is faulty but maybe someone has some bright idea of how I might stop this problem?
edit - Id also like to comment on how bad the picture quality seems, BBC is spot on I cant fault that but ITV's channels are dire, so are UKTV's. MY tv is a Samung 40" LCD connected via HDMI, so I would expect a half decent picture, is this standard for Virgin?
