Sky Movies Picture Quality

I'm aware of the previous picture quality problems on the Sky Sports channels (which has been much improved), but the picture quality on the movie channels seems even worse. I watched Silent Hill (rubbish movie) and the picture quality was terrible. Really blocky, more like the picture quality you'd expect streaming a file off the t'internet.

Are Virgin Media (or anyone out there) aware of this problem, or is it worth a call to the faults department?

Thanks.

Re: Sky Movies Picture Quality

I've watched some movies, Death Wish 3, Evil Dead 2 and boh were poor picture. Noticeable compression artifacts and low quality picture, i.e. not a sharp picture, and very dull colour.

Notts NG17 area.

Re: Sky Movies Picture Quality

Recorded Miami Vice tonight and just watched it - awful pixellation, smudgy picture, terrible sound : could barely make out what the actors were saying.
