V+ resting?

I turned on the TV today, and it had a little message saying that V+ was resting. THe effect of this is that a) it takes a few seconds to "wake up" and b) you can't rewind!

This means you can't just leave it on and hope to rewind television when you get back. Is there any way of turning off the "resting"?

Re: V+ resting?

Hi foddy,

The resting mode is automatic and cannot be switched off.

It only takes effect when the V+ has not detected any user activity for some time, not sure how long the inactivity must be but the V+ only rests overnight or for a period during the afternoon.

Resting mode is designed to reduce wear on the hard disc. As the buffer is not in action rewind of live TV is not possible.

Record function is not effected.
