Angry I need to Reset My V+ Box as cant see anyting

Hi, I recently got a V+ Box, I was excited as I have a HDMI Sharp 37" TV
I was not sure how to set up HD viewing so I rang a friend who told me to press HOME, then option 8 (Settings) then Dispay and Audio Options

I then set it to HDMI and 720

I pressed OK

THe screen went blank and now I cant see anything, I have pressed the reset but nothing happens, I cant see anything now

My friend said try to remember the menue numbers and change it blindly but its all to confusing

Can you help as now I cant see anything

Thanks

If you want to revert to the live software, hold in OK & standby, then press reset.

might work

or read this http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/pdf/V+Manual.pdf

ok have had a good look
press home button then 8 for settings then press either > once and then ok see if that works if not repeat or either do this press home then 8 then press red to restore default settings ?

Re: I need to Reset My V+ Box as cant see anyting

You changed the settings on the V+ but did you change the setting on your TV to use input from HDMI rather than scart?

Once the HDMI connection is activated the V+ ceases to send a signal through the scart connection.

Reset the box as soon as you hit reset, hold down play/pause and stop.

Keep them help down for about 40 seconds till the display says outpt (if you see numbers start again).

Use the ffwd button till it says SD now press OK.

Switch to your AV channel for scart and then you'll get a picture.

Now go to Home - Settings - Audio and Display - TV Display Format - HiDef HDMI and press OK.

Now switch to the HDMI channel on your TV if you see a picture press text on your V+ remote.
