No HDMI Cable
Looking through the Forum, am I correct in thinking that I should of got a HDMI cable with my V+ installation instead of having to go out and by one for myself after?

Well, the V+ box installer gave me one, but i also got one sent through the post so i ended up with two. It might be that you get one in the post in a few days time. It might be an idea to phone up and ask though.

CS normally ask if you have a HDTV when you book the installation. If you say yes, the tech will bring one and set it up for you. At least thats what happened to me.

I was told to ask before hand but didn't & got one as part of my installation.......which i believe is the norm

Got installed here today... installer came with a HDMI and SCART cable. We was asked before hand.

My wife binned the box the day the engineer installed it as the dustmen were due. I have no idea what was left in the box...

I didn't get one and he didn't offer. Wasn't there myself when the box was installed and apparently the guy was in a super rush. He even left the old box at my house even though we don't need.
I actually brought one the next day so wondering whether I should ask for a discount on the install.

This is my first posting, so I hope I don't make a fool of myself! I was told by the installer to ring VM and they would send me one for free. I did, but was told that VM did not support cables.

Hi bradsweb  to the forum.
Depending on how you got your V+, uprating service or as a new customer, I would phone 150 again and go for the option you originally used and explain what has happened. The installation should have included an HDMI cable and you have not been provided with one. Others on this forum have had the cable sent to them in the post when the installer did not provide one.
I suspect that the CS person you have recently spoken to at Virgin may not have understood your request. There are some issues with CS staff at some locations not being as informed as they should be.
