V+ Box gone mad ...

Had my V+ box about 2 weeks now, totally new to the cable thing, I've signed up to the 3 for £30 deal ...

Have been totally impressed with the V+ side of things .. until tonight ...

Comes home .. presses the V+ button .. message pops up .. "sorry, you are not subscribed to this service".

Checks the other TV Channels and most of them are greyed out, apart from the free ones you get anyway ...

Spends a while on the phone to Virgin, who still can't solve it .. then they say they will book an engineer and he can't come till next Monday.

The lady on the phone says it must be the box or the card that's faulty... ... I can't see how it can be the box myself as it seems to be doing everything else ok ..

oh, to top it all my phone STILL isn't activated ... FFS ... !

Any ideas guys ? Thanks in advance.

Felix

You dont need a tech the box needs dummey box hit .On the v+ go to the settings page and tech stuff what is the credit limit set for £30.00 or £00.00

Re: V+ Box gone mad ...

I'm in the settings page but I can't see anywhere where it mentions a credit limit .. I can however see two mentions saying ...

CA IPPV Status: Never Paired

Card Status: Never Paired

Not sure what this means but I guess it doesn't look healthy ... ?

Shame as it was working fine this morning

That will do the card has not been paired /hit or programed up .Ring up again and tell them the problem get the card no and the stb no so you dont have bend down whilst on the phone.Tell them you have spoken to a tech tell them he told you .that it needs a dummey box swap and have any of the hits failed ? This can be done over the phone there is no need for a tech to call .All they wanted to do is get you off the phone

good suggestion ned,but when have you known indian call centres to do (or be able/or know how to do) a dummy box swap, maybe ask them to refer to back office who are over here and in the know, failing that,it may be a wasted truck roll but at least the tech can call back office from the house and ensure card is paired and V+ functionanility is there.
