V+ HD question
We currently have a normal samsung box downstairs with the XL package. We want a 2nd box upstairs and we were thinking of getting v+ HD for it.
How much will it cost to get a V+ HD box put upstairs and still keep the standard one downstairs? (price per month and install charge if any).
EDIT: There is an NTL point upstairs with 2 connectors. 1 is used for the modem.

The deal at the minute is you get the V+ box for £10 a month and £5 for the second box on top of your package .I think the install is free but i could be wrong

Re: V+ HD question
You should look at the VIP package - it could save you money and you'll get the V+ upstairs.
.....oh, you already have....

Quick addon question. Do virgin provide one of them new v+ boxes (ex-ntl area) or will it be tv drive or w/e they used to be?
Do they include a HDMI cable?

Re: V+ HD question
When yyou order the vip package they should ask you if you have a HD ready tv so th tech knows to bring in a HD lead most techs have a stock on the van .So if they forget to put it on the job sheet they can still leave one Most of the boxes are black but you do get the odd silver one

If it's a Virgin Media branded box then yes it is black. Otherwise you might (if you are unlucky) get a rebadged telewest box which is silver.
Do you mean that the TV is being delivered after the V+ box and can they setup the V+ without a TV? If so the answer is no. The installer will need to check the box boots properly and it's not a good idea to let the installer leave before you have seen that everything works.
Can you beg or borrow any TV with at least a scart input temporarily just for the install?
