Spooky television

Hi Guys,

I wonder if somebody have the same problem as I have. Sometimes when I try to switch off my LG HD Ready television, than half a second later the television switch itself on The only way to stop this is to put V+ to standby and then switch the TV off. Is the V+ box communicating with my TV??

Re: Spooky television

Have you tried turning off the TV auto-detect feature on the V+ Box?

Home -> Settings -> Change Display & Audio Settings

And set 'TV auto-detects V Box (SCART)' to 'off'.

That could be the cause. But if you've connected via HDMI, I'm not sure if it will have any effect.

Re: Spooky television

I have an LG 50PX4D and have never experienced that (or any) problem. As your tv is HD ready, then I assume you are using an HDMI connection....... but, do you also have a scart lead connected between the V+ and tv? If so, it may be causing the tv to auto-switch as the tv stops communicating with the HDMI output of V+. Try it with the scart lead removed.

Re: Spooky television

I've got a LG HD tv connected by HDMI, it's also got the scart lead between it and the V+ box, but I've never had the set switch itself on. Perhaps the box IS haunted!!

Paranoimia, thanks for your info,I will try your suggestion, if that doesn't work I might need to get a priest in to do some exorcism on my TV
