Tech Figures from Box - are these ok?

This is part of the technical data from my V+ box, are these figures normal/ok??

SNR 31.0db,32.0db,31.0db

Pre RS Errors 0,0,0 per 0.5s (although tonight during snooker one time I checked it was 1,0,1 per 0.5s - would this still be normal?)

Post RS Errors 0,0,0 per 0.5s

AGC signal level -6dBmV,-4dBmV,-4dBmV

Return power 50dBmV

Hi,

Looks fine to me.

Pre RS Errors 0,0,0 per 0.5s
Post RS Errors 0,0,0 per 0.5s
This can move up and down but should settle at that.

AGC signal level -6dBmV,-4dBmV,-4dBmV

That is fine to!

Return power 50dBmV ? Dont know about that one as we dont look at that.

Re: Tech Figures from Box - are these ok?

as long the return power reaches NO more than 55dbmv then your box is working 100%

The pre RS error values are the number of errors the box is seeing on the incoming stream. The Post RS values are the important ones. Anything other than 0 means the box has not been able correct the incoming errors.
RS stands for Reed-Solomon. Its an error correction algorithm.
