Talking V+ excellent installation

I had V+ installed on Thursday and the installation was excellent. All services were up and running before the engineer left and, although I haven't had much time to find fault, I am mightily impressed. The HD through component to a projector gives an obviously superior picture (not much of a golf fan but the grass is in great detail on the Masters coverage on BBC HD ). The recording & rewinding is already proving invaluable with parents visiting this weekend.

I don't understand why my installation should be so painless with all subscribed channels, VOD, Red button registering straight away while others have so much trouble achieving, what should be, a standard procedure. I didn't get the second box connected so I wonder if this avoided some of the problems that have happened to others.

Well thanks to Virgin Media and in particular the engineer that made it all work.

btw I got a silver Telewest branded box - I have no preference in colour or branding, tbh, but it seems odd that they are floating around in the Swindon area!!

Re: V+ excellent installation

Sometimes I loose sight of the fact that the majority of installations probable go with out a hitch and that the people on these threads do not reflect the experiences of every Virgin customer.
Have had C&W NTL and Virgin since cable was first laid in Manchester but never had a problem that wasn't solved by 1 phone call before.I would never have found this forum if I had not had problems with my V+.
Glad I found the Forum though, it's certainly got a lot going for it.
