Re: PIN Request on V+ Recorded Items

I've also just recorded something on to the V+ hard drive. I looked to see about watching it and it asked for a pin number. Is the pin number the same number i used to use on my old telewest box to view pay per view movies ? I should imagine it will be.

Re: PIN Request on V+ Recorded Items

The Pin number should have been setup when the box was installed. Standard number is usually 1234 and then you change it.

They request a pin for playback of programs recorded after the watershed, to prevent any youngsters watching programs they shouldn't.

If your pin doesn't work, then contact Customer Service.

The default PIN is 1234..BUT ive known it to be 0000, assuming one of these is correct...you can change your pin in the settings part of your Box.

I don't have VOD myself, although I've been reading about it for quite a while as I am considering upgrading to digital, so you may want to get confirmation, but it is my understanding that items that are listed as 'Free' are free for all people, Items listed as 'Subscribed' would normally not be free, but because you are XL TV (or currently all sizes of TV get VOD for free for 3 months at the moment) it is included in your subscribed package, and thus free. Other items, such as films and some items on 4 on Demand are not possible to be subscribed to, so for these you will always have to pay, and will be listed with the price they cost. So to summarise:

Free - Free for everyone
Subscribed - Free for you due to your subscription including this
Price - Non-subscription item, you must pay to watch it

Hope this helps
