Hello,
I am currently on ex-NTL Virgin Analogue, and I know that at some point this year I am going to need to go digital. A lot of programs I used to like to watch have moved to digital only channels, the analogue package is shrinking and shrinking in channels available, there isn't even access to freeview channels (BBC3, BBC4, ABC1 etc.) so I am thinking of doing an upgrade at some point between now and the end of summer most likely.
Upgrading to digital leaves me in a decision to choose between Sky or Virgin. Despite the loss of the Sky channels (and I still hope they will return), I think I would prefer to go with Virgin, seeing as the rest of the services in the house are Virgin and for the most part I am pleased with the service provided.
One difficulty, however, is that in the house it would really be beneficial to have two V+ boxes for the PVR functions available. With Sky, this is easy, as you can request 2 Sky+ boxes without much trouble. Is there any way to get 2 V+ boxes with Virgin?
I have read that there seem to be quite a few people that do have V+ boxes, and that the cost of 2 V+ boxes is £20 per month (£10 per month each). I know that at the moment, there is a shortage of V+ boxes if I recall correctly, but as I am hoping to upgrade not immediately but in the future, is it possible it will be resolved by then?
My main question is to anyone who has enquired about it, or has read elsewhere (I've done my best to research before asking) or has any knowledge on this issue whether hoping for two V+ boxes is a possibility or not.
Thankyou in advance, much appreciated
