DVD Writer Options

Having just lost some recorded programmes from my V+ box has escalated the need for a DVD write capability ! I've heard that some of the new gaming stations may provide HD recording facilities as well as playback - anyone have any experience of these facilities ?

Re: DVD Writer Options

Dunno where you heard that. AFAIK, neither the Xbox360 or PS3 (assuming they are the "Gamestations" you refer to) offer any kind of DVD writing or recording.

Re: DVD Writer Options

The new consoles allow you to download and watch HD content and both will let you watch next gen DVD (although it's an expansion drive for the 360), but neither can record, and there are no plans for either to do so.

Check this link for a cheap dvd recorder from samsung.

Re: DVD Writer Options

It has a record button on for use with xp media centre edition. The 360 remote is actually just an MCE remote.
