Angry New V+ no RF Aerial through signal

Can anyone help me.
I have just had my Samsung NTL upgraded to a V+ box. All well and good you may think?
Wrong...
... The engineer conected the box, left me no booklet and went.
My old box was connected to a Sony DA1200 amp, the rf signal was looped through the samsung box to my Sony RDR HX725 then through my vcr to a distribution amp and through to 4 tv's. The EPG on the dvd hard drive worked fine, whatever i watched on one Tv could be viewed on one of the others. However, now i cant seem to get a RF signal to my EPG, and i cant tune any of the other sets to get any terestial channels.
The Vcr, DVD HD recorder, NTL box were all conncted through the amp. The tv is only used as a monitor.
Is the installation wrong?
Why cant i get anyting other than the V+ channel to the other tv's?

I do seem to get the V+ signal through the other tv's.
At some time in the future i do hope to upgrade my tv. My amp does have a HDMI input so i would use that, but would i lose the RF to the other tv's??

Thanks

Bungle

A moderator will move your existing thread if they find that it's in the wrong place.

And they will probably close this one...

Re: New V+ no RF Aerial through signal

Last question first:
If you switch the V+ to output through HDMI, the V+ cuts off the SCART output and the RF output. It has to because it outputs HD (if available) or SD upscaled to whatever you set for the HDMI output i.e. 720i/1080i etc.
Re RF loopthrough - my understanding is that it should work though I haven't tried. Is your aerial lead (for terrestrial) plugged in to the V+ ? Obvious I know but worth checking. Otherwise you'll have to do a bit of rewiring to bypass the V+ for terrestrial with a RF combiner to feed the V+ RF to your amp. The attached doc might help.

No thats wrong. You have never needed a bypass to use RF! He's using a distribution amp to pass through whats being shown on the box, not the analogue channels, and thats perfectly functional!

Re: New V+ no RF Aerial through signal

So does anyone have a soloution?
I have tried splitting the incomming V+ signal through a splitter, having one signal to the V+ box and the other wit an RF connector to the aerial socket. That seems to work, however you get terrible distortion and interference. So that isn't quite right.
Someone must know? The V+ team have no idea!!
Thanks
