V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
Does anyone know how to change the pin on a V+ box, I believe this may be possible via the engineer menu? I have tried all the default pins 1234, 0000, 1111, but none of these work and I cannot get through to the customer services!!!
Help much aprreciated.
Thanks - Shen

Re: V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
Hi default pin is usually 1234. To change go to settings (select ) then change pin menu.

Re: V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
Thanks, but my pin is blocked and I cannot get through to customer services to unblock it. 1234 does not work, i've tried all defaults e.g. 0000, 1111 etc. Have managed to get into engineer menu by holding down UP and DOWN channel buttons for 15 secs after resetting the box. However, I'm unable to get to the pin option does anyone know how to navigate these screens?
Thanks.

I have just had my V+ fitted and the pin was set to 1000. Hope that might help?

You can't change the PIN from the eng screens (there wouldn't be much point in PIN protection if it was easy to change). You'll have to speak to Customer Services.

Re: V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
all pins are set by the installer and only way they can be re-set is by virgin media re-setting the pin which they will set at 1234 then you can change this by pressing HOME no:8 in settings menu option 2 to change pin

Re: V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
Thank you all for your advise. I'll try ringing them again, but it seems odd that I cannot reset it by any other way?

Re: V+ Resetting pin / Engineer menu
I had this problem on Tuesday when mine was installed. Engineer didn't provide a PIN, and I tried the usual defaults - 0000 and 5555 - which didn't work. I didn't try a third, as I didn't want to lock it.
A quick call to 150 and they sent a signal to reset it to 0000. I had to wait 15 minutes, then switch off and on at the mains to restart, and it was sorted.
