V+Box s**t hot
After all my early problems, resulting in box being replaced i can honestly say I am extremley happy with this box.
I have three outstanding issues
Slow repsonse - known bug (murder when wanting to quickly get rid of porn when mrs comes in)
Ex NTL - some missing VOD - hopefully resolved soon.
Lack of HD channels content.
Overwise top drawer, even missus impressed, and beleive me thats somegoing.
to VM, but they really need to progress now and resolve the know bugs and add some more HD content. They have a tool to give SKY a run for their money in some respects.

Re: V+Box s**t hot
Same here...in fact, more so, because I didn't have any early problems...mine worked right from the off, including picking up the package upgrade (to include sports and movies) instantly.
It's brilliant, and really makes something of digital cable after years of lagging behind Sky. I cannot think of any meaningful way in which Sky is superior to this now, and I'm not sure I've been able to say that about digital cable ever.

Think VM still lagg behind with channels, Disco HD, History HD, Sky 1 HD, so on and so forth.
There is also lots of SD channels SKY have and we dont

Re: V+Box s**t hot
apart from not being able to access VOD, more than half of my channels are greyed out, including ITV3 which is a free to air channel. This is getting ridiculous now, I'll be off to Sky shortly!

Re: V+Box s**t hot
sorry, thought you were joking about it . No, I have checked and my account shows as up to date and correct although there have been changes with retention deals etc, but the second box worked ok for about a day and then failed. Other people are also having this problem, so it's not just me.

Re: V+Box s**t hot
I was a little apprehensive about getting my V+ Box installed, after some of the horror stories on here- but apart from the lack of 'VOD' and 'Interactive', it works like a charm.
I made a couple of 'planned recordings' overnight, and no problems whatsoever. I've found the box to be far more responsive than my old Pace box. The BBC HD channel's a good showcase for the HD functionality, and hopefully there'll be more HD channels in the not too distant future.
I even like the (predominately) black and yellow EPG colour scheme- very responsive also. My Sky+ box is now taking a back seat, as a glorified freeview box- but is handy for some of the channels that aren't on the VM platform.
I'm really pleased with the V+ Box- brilliant!
I'm in Manchester too- perhaps our part of the network has VOD switched off at the moment?? I don't get any error messages, it just stalls on VOD...
I'm not too bothered at all though- I've got three tuners now! lol

Re: V+Box s**t hot
I had my V+ installed yesterday, and am pretty impressed. My only problem so far is that some deleted recordings keep re-appearing, and I need to delete them again. In fact, I deleted the same 2 items 3 times in all last night. So far today, it hasn't re-appeared...
Oh, and the 'hours free' indicator didn't seem to work when I'd recorded 2 hours of stuff. Well, it did at first drop to 78 or so, but then went back up to 80 without me having deleted anything... bizarre!

Re: V+Box s**t hot
I have completed the questionaire on VM website regarding the V+ box. In comments I have put down the issues i have (and a lot of people have), channel lag, ex ntl & ex c&w content and more hd channels required.
Has any one else?
If so what comments did you leave??
