Anyone help?

If you have Vplus you should be able to answer this?

I am thinking of going v+ (sod sky).
I tried upgrading online but the form crashed....
Tried phoning, have to wait till i am back at work..

Question - installation is supposed to be FREE if you keep your old box in another room in same house, ok... so i would pay £10 a month coz i am already getting XL TV and pay £5 a month to run old STD Box (in another room).
So does that mean I will be paying £15 a month extra and i get V+ in main room and daughter can watch basic NTL (sorry Virgin Media) in her room?
Sounds straight forward to me....

Re: Anyone help?

You got it. Your old box will be wired up in your choice of other room in the house.

Good for you my man.

A nice spare box in the bedroom, for those lazy sunday mornings...or any other morning you care not to get out of bed early

Just a moan about ntl/virgin

so basically kids can watch what they want and we get to watch our channels in peace? the way tv was meant to be when there are 2 films on at same time!
I was going with sky until i looked into virgin media properly, i support him all the way.
I think the channel 119 is the way to go, they tried already with all those crappy programs for free like vicar of dibley and the office etc, cmom....
whatever happened to desperate houswives i saw it there somewhere but then you had to pay didnt you?
i dont like the way the menu access is soooooo sloooow sometimes its unbearable, i have heard V plus is faster???
about time virgin media sorted all thos sub menus out.. free this and free that, cmon guys get it in order!!!
I take it you get a nice new remote AND the black screen menu with V+?
oh and as for the interactive red button guys i dont think thats ever going to work unless you have sky, all those lovely video screens under your control like sky have, what do we get? text.... thats what we get!
Oh, one last thing when we lose Sky News and Sky One (if we do), are Virgin going to refund us? I mean we ARE paying for them at the moment?
Or will we get a discount, I think not. Come on Richard.....

Re: Anyone help?

I decided to take a good look at VoD this weekend in anticipation of loosing a couple of channels, I had a great weekend watching Red Dwarf season 1+2, absolutely superb.

It is the way to go, its like having Blockbusters in your own home.

Now, if I could just get her indoors to make some decent popcorn......

Please, Please do not upgrade on line or if you have already done so phone and ask for "Retentions" and ask for the same deals that the rest of us are getting.

You will do much better. Trust me, I did exactly what you did.

Re: Anyone help?

IF Virgin get the Sky channels taken away from them you can always cancel your contract because you are not getting what you paid for...
Anyway.......

I almost went for sky, but today I managed to place an order for V+ to be installed free of charge next Wednesday afternoon 7th March.I can't wait to be able to record programs the way i want to not like my dvd recorder wants to!
Also to have a faster menu access... the old NTL Blue menu sucks!
I got my order placed and confirmed within mins of phoning at lunchtime today and didnt even have to wait.
I will keep you informed to see if we have a painless installation!

Re: Anyone help?

Well done! You did better than me. I have to wait until March 14th. I suppose it depends on the area. Good luck and keep us posted.
