V+ Box Cooling

Hi All
Read somewhere that meny problems with the new V+ boxes may be due to overheating, particularly when boxes are placed in TV cabinets etc.

Has anyone tried using a cooling fan pad, simular to what is used to cool laptops, and if so can the cooling unit be powered from the USB port on the rear of the V+ box.

These cooling units are available for as little as £8 off Ebay.

I don't think there is any power from the USB socket on the back.

The recommendations from virgin is that you keep the box somewhere where it has a clear air flow over it, so that would rule out using a cabinet.

I think I read that although the you cant connect a device to the USB port it is powered up and that some people have connected USB fans to it.
