Help for Virgin V+ box RGB to Composite

Hi

Had my V+ box installed Tuesday and beginning too wish I'd never seen it, been nothing but bother since ut's been installed.

Of course the light flashe's. Had that explained by the second engineer..cant get ON Demand as software usless...constantly hunting for info...

I watched what the engineer did too re-boot the box, as reste dosent work..so able too get it back on after each crash..that's around every two hours..

My big problem has been caused by myself. I went into settings and changed video settings and have lost oicture altogether,,,can anyone write down the proceduer too get my picture back on...as I cant access settings as have no picture.

If someone could write stage by stage, I might be able too do it blind.

Otherwise waiting for yet another engineer.

Joe

when you say you changed settings ,did you switch to HDMI.
Are you using scart or RF connection to the TV.

Re: Help for Virgin V+ box RGB to Composite

Hi

I'm using the HDMI lead..I already had a Philips DVD HD enhancer..Enhances DVDS too nearly HD standard.

No it wasnt the HDMI settings..It was the Coposite..or is it compound, anyway the engineer is coming this afternoon and I'm going too insist on a new box.

I'm not too impressed with the V box as yet for the following reasons

1).. It crash's evry couple of hours
2) light flashing so constantly searching for info
3).. I cant get ON Demand
4) so if I cant get on demand and there's only BBC Previews at present..what's the point..

Maybe I'd be better going too sky..it's just the nearly £400 inisial instalation cost and changing back too a crap BT line that's stopping me.

Re: Help for Virgin V+ box RGB to Composite

Just had engineer agin..23/2/07. I cannot praise this guy enough, trouble is there not given enough training.

I'm prety geared up on these tech things and watched today as he installed a new box.

Great...no flashing light and on demand working..in fact everything was working fine.

Only when he went from set up scart connection too HD...Box came up with message cant find HD lead, TV might not be high definition...of course it is. It's a 372 Toshiba and 1080 capable.

So he took that new box out and fitted a 3rd...same problem.

After 2 hours he admitted defeat and said he'd talk too somepne and return Monday.

He'd been away about half an hour when he rang me. Asked I try something

EG...

1)...press reset...then forward and stop together on the front of the box
2)... boots and comes up with the message set up
3)..when set up shows...press fast forward until hdri shows
4)..press ok and that's it

Everything is working as it should be now...I have everything

First box was obviously faulty
