V+ - A New Fault

Since getting V+ at the beginning of December I thought I had experienced all the faults possible - certainly all those which have been reported. Last night, however, I got a brand new one.

I was setting up one recording at 08:00 and another two at 09:00. When I came to setting up the second recording for 09:00 I got the message that there was a clash as two recordings had already been set up for that time. On checking “planned recordings” there were only two showing - the one at 08:00 and the first one at 09:00. I then tried setting up the second 09:00 recording manually and got the same message. I then set the “padding” at the start and end of recordings to “off” to see if that would make a difference but with the same result. I gave up and left it with two planned recordings - one at 08:00 and one at 09:00.

At 08:00 both red lights lit up on the box showing that two recordings were being made and the same again at 09:00. When recording finished I checked “recorded programmes” and both the 08:00 and 09:00 ones were showing as having recorded twice - once for 00:00 and once for 1 hour.

Any ideas on this one would be welcome - maybe it’s just another software glitch that’s going to be sorted out by the promised download on 24th February. If this download actually takes place I must admit that I am sceptical that it will provide a solution - more likely that it will replace the existing bugs with some new ones.

Yeah... Course there are. lol

They are for both recordings and once one finishes, only the top one will shine.

Re: V+ - A New Fault

Here's another one (dunno if its been reported yet),

If you're watching a recording when a previously set reminder auto-changes the channel, then the channel changes, but the display on the front of the box continues to count up - almost as if the V+ still thinks its playing back the recording while you're watching the live programme you've set a reminder for.

I think I had to reset it to get the box out of its semi-recording-playback state.
