Mega issues V+

No channels (blocky broken images - completely un-viewable) on 1,2,3,4 on the V+, 1% of the time VOD - 99% not, slow channel changes, constant crashing, little or no HD content etc etc, it is absolute rubbish. The engineer came back out but had no V+ boxes (aparently there is a shortage in my area) and what made me laugh is he didn't even know what a V+ box looked like!!! He started playing with my Technomate Sat receiver saying so this is what a V+ looks like is it Maybe i'll get a replacement tomorrow when the second engineer comes out.

Has anyone else had issues like this? If I dont get a new box that works tomorrow can I cancel without penalty? I dont mind testing a product that 99% works, but I am not paying top dollar for 30% working service. Just checked with Sky and I can get a HD box fitted in a couple of days. I'd rather splash out and get a service that works.

TIA
Jim

Re: Mega issues V+

Very odd, my experience was exactly the opposite.
Superb quality of picture and sound, engineer was top hole, told me about the fw upgrade on the 26th and warned me that the epg would be a little slow till then.
Every single channel [excluding HD] is upscaled to HD-near quality, HD of course is great.
Would you please list your tv make and model and anything else the V+ might be connected up to.

regards

tb

ps: and don't expect a better HD service from SKY, same content except for SKY Movies HD [which you get on V+ anyway via their HD service] PLUS V+ upscales standard content [the vast majority of any broadcaster's content] and sky don't.
