On thing you need to watch out for is whether your TV supports HDCP over DVI. If you set the TVDrive output to HDMI then all output is HDCP controlled. This means that if your HDTV does not support HDCP over DVI then you can view nothing at all (except the menus). My TV was supposedly HDCP compliant but seems not to be over a HDMI->DVI Cable.
The solution I adopted was to buy a Component to VGA convertor which allows an analogue digital signal from the component output of the TV Drive to be output as VGA, which my TV also supports). You can get these from
http://www.mysimplemedia.com/product...x/YPbPrbox.htm @ £40.
(You will also need component and VGA cables)
This works fine when setting the TVDrive output to HD Component with the caveat that it outputs strictly at 720p and if your TV has a different resolution (mine has 1024 * 768) you might get some black bars - on my TV I can zoom the picture slightly to get rid of these.
It is certainly worth doing, even with the paucity of true HD content available as the TVDrive upscales SD output very well (Some programmes are better than others)
