Tv Drive & Digi Sender
Hi all,
Recently had my TV drive installed & i previously had a Samsung STB with a digi sender plugged in to it to feed the tv in another room
now from reading the forum, i can see people saying that running through HDMi Disables the Scart output on the box, is this for both TV & VCR out?
Is there any way to get a digi sender to work on the TV Drive, whilst the primary TV uses HDMI?
Another problem is that if run both through scart ( Digi & TV )then as the digi sender needs to be in the Tv out & the main Tv in VCR out for it work properly, then i can only get the Tv Drive menu's to appear on the 2nd tv ( fed by Digi sender ) & nothing but a clear picture on the primary tv ?
Is there a way to resolve one or both these problems or any advice on how best to work around this for ease of use ??
TIA
Barfly

Re: Tv Drive & Digi Sender
As far as I know, using the HDMI de-activates the TV-Out SCART socket on the TVDrive, and the only way to get the VCR Out socket working is it set the TVDrive into backup mode.
So, I think your stuffed, unless you can get a 1 to 2 scart splitter. However, that will kill your HD signal. Doh, they really don't want us to have a flexible system (or is that a way to copy stuff?).
Our solution was to keep our original pace (now second) box, and have it put in the bedroom. Put the digisender on that, and then the reciever in the kitchen. So the kids can watch TV n the front room, we have control in the bedroom, and watch what we want in the Kitchen as well.
However, if you have ANY info on how to get digisenders not to be intefered with by my wireless network, I would be greatful!
Cheers,
Fletch

You should be able to change the frequency on the telesender? If not try your router settings page! Either one may have diff frequency settings

Re: Tv Drive & Digi Sender
thanks for the reply guys, looks like im going to have to go back to a scart connection...
As using HDMI leaves with 2 black stripes down the side of soem channels, it doesn't go to full screen for some reason, dont get it with any of the terrestrial channels, or BBC HD, but things like living & discovery & so on are...
Also getting issues with the Box not switching to channels when reminders are set up, & i cant watch anything i record as they haven't set my pin up...
Edit :
I'm using a ferguson digi sender, that allows you to change frequency, ( 1-4 ) this doesn't affect the wifi connection it set up next to
