On Demand
Hi there. As said in other thread I'm getting TV Drive installed on friday.

Currently NTL On Demand costs to watch tv shows and movies (apart from free picks). I've noticed a lot of people with TV Drive mention watching loads on On Demand. Is everything free when you have the TV Drive or something? Or are people still paying for them all!

You will get access to the same On Demand service regardless of whether you have the TV Drive or not, so the stuff that you pay for On Demand from the normal STB you'll pay for on the TV Drive.

That's not strictly true. There's a lot of free to watch content with the TV Drive. For example, all of the TV Choice stuff is free on our downstairs TV Drive, but not on the upstairs Samsung box.

An example. My wife has just watched the first 3 series of Shameless for no extra cost on the TV Drive. If she had watched these upstairs on the Samsung, it would have been 49p per episode.

Yep! Tv choice is free for those on the tv drive family pack, I think it's about £5 a month for base and select, not sure exactly so don't quote me on that

i signed up for a pack inc 170 channels then i paid for sports as an extra...

There was the basic one for 110 channels but I got the extra for 170. Should this include the free on demand as everything in "TV Hits" costs for me apart from the "Free" list which is only one episode of each series :s

On my bill theres a section for "Family" too if that means the family pack.. but on my normal standard cable box everything costs!

Is it only on TV Drive its free?

Yes, the TV Drive subscription includes those programs, but as I said above, if you want to watch them on the standard cable box, it will cost extra.
