Firmware upgrade/Access to VOD in cardiff Area

Hi all,

Anyone have any idea when an upgrade is scheduled for the Cardiff area please, and whether it will improve the quality of the picture at all? My pic is still v dodgy on a SD TV using the TvDrive.

Thanks in advance,

DPJ

Re: Firmware upgrade/Access to VOD in cardiff Area

I would not expect a firmware upgrade to change picture quality by a noticeable amount. Viewing with a SD TV, you will get the best quality by using the RGB signal within the SCART connection. You might need to configure the TVdrive to generate RGB output in the video option settings, and you might need to configure your TV to use the RGB input signal rather than the composite one on the same SCART cable. Make sure you have plugged the SCART cable into the correct SCART socket on the back of the TVdrive, as the other SCART socket carries only a composite output for VHS and DVD recorders.
