I always note how people and the government appear to turn a blind eye to all the ones working with fraudulant National Insurance numbers as if it's not happening. The government does not care because tax is being paid and low paid jobs are being filled.
I have been reliably informed that this is a much larger problem than any of us realise.

Quite...it is glib to say the ones who can work should be allowed to, but I would also qualify that to add that it must be a job that cannot be filled from local born people. (I appreciate in this case the article is saying just that, but I feel it should
always be thus qualified).
I often wonder why there is so much difficulty in recruiting locally ? Is it poor pay or conditions ? Poor infrastructure (housing, facilities etc.) ? Better prospects elsewhere ? Poor local education ? Whatever the reason, is it not possible that even the ex. asylum seeker employees will also in time move on to bigger and better prospects - maybe 'abroad' after enhancing their CV's at our expense ?
