It's been fairly amusing. Not too bad in Swansea itself, but many of the staff live outside of Swansea. I think they wanted to get everyone out just in case.

I live in Swansea, and driving was certainly fun going in for 8am. One of my colleagues apparently had a few feet of snow.

Re: Tech Support closed!!

I actually think NTL could pay the tech support staff to work from home using the internet to help customers. Ok they cant access the details but they can help get ppl sorted or email themselves list sof things that need doing when they get back in.

Re: Tech Support closed!!

Speaking of closure, I wasn't aware that it had been made official.

Following a comprehensive review and careful consideration we have decided not to re-launch this site.

Let's hope we have better luck with tech support.

I think a lot of people will rather upset if they decide not to let them back in the building tomorrow!

Mind you, all the more space for me to spread out.

How would the customers phone the tech staff? Or are they giving out their personal phone numbers now? :p

There are systems that allow people to phone up & sign in. The company phone system then just re-directs the phone calls to the technician's home.

Personally, I'd rather just be given the day off.

They work hard enough, I say let's give them the time to enjoy the snow

Yeah, perhaps NTL can get their board members and senior managers to line up so their staff can throw snowballs at them. It won't make the NTL network any better, but it would make us customers feel better about the crap service.
