Re: ntl:home restructure (again)
I was pleased to see we are keeping Alan he does seem to be alright.
I wounder what happens to others and if they are keepin the best. What about Azid Hussain is he staying or going?
What redundancies are there in the managment section.this is where the company can save some money as the managers get teh best pay and bonuses?.

In the old region that I used to work in, the managers actually increased at least threefold in one department when they had the redundancies after the first planning for growth fiasco.
They will always find/create jobs for certain managers even if they dont have the skills needed.
Like the 2 women from the callcentre who were given field operation manager roles, I understand they have since been relieved of those positions and are now only looking after installers! We all knew it wouldn't work.

As usual though, ntl have now changed their minds and appear, from the information we have, to be going for a hybrid of the central-regional model.

Um-hum.....a little more comprehensive review needed.
All this new, more regions, movement and changes.
I get the feeling that ntl are just shuffling the cards.........we will still end up with having the same deck....but with the cards in different places..... the crappy service, as they spread the fertiliser around.

Re: ntl:home restructure (again)
Speaking personally and selfishly, my department now has the same manager but different managers above that level.
The new 'big boss' has hit the ground running, and has made clear what his priorities are...and they are spot on.
If the entire business is working along similar lines, things look good.

It would appear so, pem - from our area, 1 quick e.g. -
Derby (ex cwc - Bromley) is now North (was NW)
Nottingham (ex Diamond - Langley) is now Midlands (was NE)
