Why do you people have such a problem with people informing users about products that may be of interest to members? It's not like I filled everyones mailboxes with junk, just a short, to-the point message about a product very specific to users of this forum. Jeez, lighten up dude.

uhhhhhhhhhh which dude is that , i guess it has something to do with illegally hacking into an ntl digi box , there are other sites for that my mate

The link was to a unit which plugs into the pc's serial port not the STB. You then use the PC to create the infra red signals to control the STB.
Basically your PC becomes a remote control.

I don't think there is any mystery, though, I think Andre took the view that Mike Harrison was posting to advertise a product and thats why the link was removed.
