Yes, you need to wait 3 months before signing up again.

Re: Rejoining Virgin Media

Does Virgin Media offer any incentives to get previous customers to rejoin.
Do they ever invite them to come back to vm.

That's bizarre. Why would Virgin as a business want to stop people giving them money for 3 months?

or is this for getting the new customer special offers that you need to wait?

Re: Rejoining Virgin Media

3 months before you can be classified as a new customer, otherwise you're a returning customer

It's to stop people leaving just to rejoin to get the new customer discounts.

I'm not sure which side of the discussion you are on. I think the same side as me. It is quite right to have a three month period of not being a customer before you become eligible for new customer incentives.

In fact, I would make that period much longer, even infinite.

Re: Rejoining Virgin Media

lol. 3 months seems reasonable.

If it was less, I would quit and rejoin if offered a better deal.

As it stands, i tend to quit for one year, and hop to the other side, then back.

So if you're on the other side of the discussion, that's ludicrous, as it would lead to all customers cancelling at the end of their minimum period just to become a new customer and get the incentives. Virgin Media would either rapidly go out of business or the new customer incentives would stop.

Then it would be nice as a sign of customer good will to at least once a year give as good a customer deal as is offered to new customers..It might stop some of the complaining..Frankly apart from the BB free upgrades the occasional deals for existing customers can be farnkly disappointing. Not every VM customer wants or needs BB.

Re: Rejoining Virgin Media

Companies don't recognise customer loyalty.

Virgin are interested in new business, and reward new customers. Hence why i don't see any reason to give a company loyalty.

If a company said to me...thanks for your loyalty, we are giving you a discount this month for 1 year's service, i might say "Thanks, and i will stay another year".

But equally i don't hate them, just don't see why i should stay with them blindly.

Same with Bank accounts etc. There was a time I stayed with companies when they gave me good service, not sure that happens now. Of course, i could just be in a negative mood.

Yes well you must remember that not everyone has a choice especially those in rented accommodation or not living in cabled areas or they aren't allowed a dish on the side of their house or like me they will never let BT across the threshold.
