Virgin Media among most recommended brands

Sky and Virgin Media have been named on a list of the companies most regularly recommended by consumers in the UK.
According to a survey of 8,700 Brits by analyst firm Satmetrix, Sky and Virgin Media joined Apple, O2, Sony, Saga and First Direct as the most often endorsed brands.
Each company was given a Net Promoter Score (NPS), which was based on the likelihood of consumers recommending their products and services to other people.
The points scale ranged from 1 to 10, with a score of 6 or lower indicating people were 'detractors' to the companies, but 9 or higher indicating they were active 'promoters'.
