Re: It's official 'virgin Media' have won the war againts piracy.......but for how lo

I broke Nagra 3. Hammer and chisel on the smart card, that sorted it.

On a more serious note Nagra 3 has stood up for a while now, in numerous countries. Nagra 1 and 2 were broken elsewhere, these same places haven't managed it with Nagra 3 as yet. There is absolutely no reason at all to think that we in the UK are magically gifted or skilled and will be able to bring down Nagra 3 in weeks when they couldn't given years. Why do you think the dodgy box manufacturers and sellers here are 'diversifying' into Freesat

Quote from someone with a clue:

Quote:
In terms of physical protection, the Rom180 is very anologous to the NDS line of chips. I really doubt anyone is going to be getting into them anytime soon. After 2 years the Spanish (where most of the Nagra hacking is actually done) still haven't got very far with N3 !

There is a way round it. I know some guy called Richard, bung him £40 or £50 a month and he'll give you whatever channels you want.

Even got his own website, if you want the details.

Re: It's official 'virgin Media' have won the war againts piracy.......but for how lo

Just to clarify, talking about an encryption method and whether it's secure or not is acceptable, talking about explicit tools, methods, hacks is not whether it's ontopic or not.

It's the same as saying a vauxhall astra is easy to pinch is one thing, linking to a tool that is purposely designed for you to pinch the car or telling people how to rip off the steering column and which wires to put together is not.

If you wish to discuss this further then in private please and not in open thread as there's already been enough warnings in here

Well I am glad the updated cards are going to be sorting out the boxes, just wish they could do the same with the modems.

With a bit of luck more people will start paying for their channels so the cost of all this wont be passed on to the customers........................there again it might still be

By Easter next year we'll all be watching iPlayer and You tube TV channels on our broadband connections and dropping our TV packages.

Yes well this would need Motorola to learn the difference between anus and elbow and Ubee to ensure their stuff behaves.

Won the war against piracy? Nope, NTL lost the war...

In a different way....

You get a "WD TV live" and you have all movies you want. Why pay Virgin? And you have blue ray-HD quality, max it out during the night. Virgin ain't offering that. Oooops, yes they do, free via newsgroups.... Just choose every evening the movies you fancy, let them download during the night.... No need for giganews or astronews whatever ...

Sorry off topic but its the right direction for piracy

The only cost is 10TB of hard disk to store all those 20G blue ray movies....

Marvellous..have you any other amazing revelations because up till now none of us knew about this. Can you tell me which newsgroup carries all the content of every channel I want to watch with unlimited retention? What? there isn't one..well I guess I'll just have to use that new fangled TV thing.
