Ofcom Where Are You?

Normally they are pretty quick to jump into any sort of controversy or if any firm is doing wrong,
Why havent they jumped onto virgin media's back about these new traffic management rules yet?
With these new rules i would pay about £10 for the service monthly and not £25 which i am at the moment paying for my L size broadband.

Re: Ofcom Where Are You?

Sorry to say this but when have Ofcom ever jumped at any ISP. Theres so much that they get away with that other companies wouldn't.

If people want Ofcom to act they have got to kick up a stink and even then its still not assured they will do anything. It would be interesting to see how many people have actually complained to Ofcom, I know I havn't although I probably should have done.

Re: Ofcom Where Are You?

ofcom are normally very poor not good.

Their remit includes both the following.

To ensure a competitive market.
To ensure the profitability of the market.

It does not have a direct remit to look after consumers.

Ofcom will only typically act on behalf of the consumer directly only when under pressure by the media.
