Is it likely Virgin Media will ever upgrade the parts of Slough that are analouge only? I was looking at BT but i decided i was better off staying with virgin as i would have to pay the £124 for line installation and a decent BB provider. NOW Wireless was an option but they dont service at my postcode (yet) but i would like a broadband service. So my question is: is there any realistic chance that Slough's analouge only areas will be upgraded to digital to allow them to offer us BB and DTV?

Re: Slough

Short answer - No

Telewest wouldnt fund this area upgrade before due to the complexity of many cabinet upgrades and lack of demand in part due to lack of fudning forcing customers to go elsewhere.

They have long talked about upgrading these areas but VM seem to be making it clear that they are last on their current plans what with NGTV, NGCMTS and even off net services proving to be more attractive to the company.

If the area does go digital then VM will make sure every house in the cbale footprint knows about it with letter drops and even field sales reps calling at properties.

Hope this helps
